Hi, I’m Leo! I may be a small fluffy Pomeranian, but I have very big feelings and an even bigger personality packed into my tiny body. Once I feel safe and comfortable with my people, I can be a very affectionate and loyal little companion who loves being close by and involved in your day-to-day life. While I’m incredibly cute, I’m also looking for a very specific home that understands I have some behavioural needs and is willing to help set me up for success.

I can resource guard things that are important to me, which means I may become uncomfortable if someone approaches me when I have valued items or spaces. Because of this, I need an adult-only home with people who can respect my boundaries, carefully manage my environment, and continue using positive strategies to help me feel safe and secure. I’m not the kind of dog who enjoys being constantly picked up or handled whenever someone feels like it, so I really appreciate people who can listen to my body language and allow me to move at my own pace.

I’m also looking for a home where I can be the only pet, as I’m not comfortable living with other animals and prefer to have all the attention to myself. I would love a home with indoor and outdoor access so I can choose where I feel most comfortable throughout the day. Because I can be quite vocal and easily become alert to sounds and activity around me, I would not be well suited to apartment living and am looking for a home with a secure yard where I have more space and privacy. I would also benefit from someone being home more often than not during my first few weeks while I settle into my new routine.

I know I may need a little more understanding and management than some other dogs, but underneath all my fluff and big feelings is a dog who has so much love and companionship to give. I’m hoping to find a patient, understanding home that sees beyond my cute face and is ready to give me the structure, consistency, and support I need to truly thrive.
