I’m Claire, a three-year-old Domestic Medium Hair with a heart that takes its time.

When I first got here, everything felt too loud, too strange, too close. I wasn’t sure who to trust, so I kept my world small for a little while. But day by day, I learned that nothing bad was waiting around the corner. I found the quiet places, the kind voices, and slowly I let myself be seen.

Once I feel safe, I’m soft in all the best ways. I like to take things at my own pace, and I think the people who understand that are the ones I’ll love the most.

I’d be happiest in a home without children under six. I haven’t spent much time around little people, and lots of noise and sudden movement can leave me feeling overwhelmed. Give me a calm space, a sunny window, and a little patience, and I’ll meet you there.

I’ve met other cats before, and I think we can get along just fine, as long as we don’t rush into anything. Slow introductions, a little distance at first, and time to figure each other out—that’s how I make friends.

Dogs are okay too, especially the smaller ones who already know how to be gentle with cats. If they can respect my space while I settle in, I think we’ll find our own quiet rhythm together.

A home where nothing has to happen all at once. Where trust arrives quietly, like afternoon light stretching across the floor. Where we can sit together in comfortable silence until one day you notice I'm close enough to lean against you, and it feels as though I've always belonged there.
